Día de Los Muertos

A celebration of Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a traditional Aztec ritual practiced in Mexico and parts of the United States meant to honor the dead.

When:

  • Actual Day of the Dead is November 1 and 2
  • CCE event typically during the first couple weeks of November

Where:

  • In individual classrooms of classes who choose to participate, as decided by individual teachers
  • Multi-Purpose Room – Main altar

Why:

  • To participate in a traditional Spanish speaking celebration

Who:

  • Organized by group of teachers, administrators and parent volunteers
  • All children from classrooms whose teachers opt to participate
