Teacher Wish Lists

A BIG THANKS to the families who have donated generously in response to the wish list! Teachers have requested donations of the following items for their classrooms. You may drop-off donations at the collection table at Back-to-School Night, or you may send these to school at any time. Thank you for your generosity!

Art Department:

metal needles -esp. embroidery thread-any kind plates: big and small, styrofoam or paper bowls: big and small, styrofoam or paper

SHOES! old toss-aways, we can paint and remodel...

mirrors: big and small that can be shattered and used in mosaic or ceramic

sand paper: any kind old ceramic pots, dishware for mosaics old jewelry: anything (for use with assemblage artwork) spray paint: clear and colored

packaging tape: wide and clear (sculpture)

vermiculite: for mixing with plaster to sculpt

old movie posters: if you have a child leaving the nest and you want to redo his/her room.....

decks of cards: any kind (will be painted and collaged) Wire: any kind for sculptural projects

ROCKS: to be used as bases for clay mini-castles, so something medium-range (5-7 inches long/wide)

coat hangers: wire

light bulbs: old, not working and still intact (for ceramic molds)

nylons: knee high or regular for sculptures shaving cream: for shaving...ha! For marblizing paper

rubber erasers ink pads, ink

ribbons: any kind, any color, any pattern

Christmas glass balls: for sculptural forms

crew socks or knee socks for "Stupid Sock Creatures" (check out the website under this name.)

2' x 3' white cotton fabric + fiberfill (for blankets for the LinusProject)

12" dowels or kabob sticks for displaying sculpture and weaving projects

1. ply yarn for coiled baskets
