The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander
The international anti-bullying expert and best-selling author Barbara Coloroso
is offering two free sessions for our community:
August 17, 7-9 p.m.,at Emerson Junior High School, "The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander: A Primer for Parents and Community Members in a Hurting Community" A book-signing and dessert reception will immediately follow the presentation.
August 18, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at Emerson Junior High School, "Teaching with Wit and Wisdom: Building an Emotionally Safe Learning Community in your Classroom and School" This extended training session is offered free to all DJUSD staff, and to Davis preschool teachers and child care providers.(6 units of Continuing Professional Education Development Credit). Lunch is included. Charge to non-DJUSD staff is $20 , lunch included. Teachers must RSVP by August 15 to Heather Ringer at 757-5300, ext. 150.
